Thanks, Jessie! I really like this band as well and did pick up the album on iTunes today, so I’m over the perceived Bowie taint already. I’m just glad someone else could hear the similarity I was talking about. :)

Tyler, I took the Bowie challenge and you definitely have a point. I know we share a general distaste for Bowie, but I’m liking this band so far. I guess it’s (mostly) not the vocals that I have a problem with regarding Bowie.

No. This has no Bowie. TV on the Radio and LCD Soundsystem are Bowie-esque. Not Sunset Rumbdown.

I really like these songs, despite the Bowie-like vocalization. I was tempted to rush out and buy the album, but I don’t think I’m getting past the Bowie association. Sorry, Sun Rub. Curse you, David Bowie.
