Today during Jace’s afternoon nap, I was lying on the couch with Jett (our 4 year old) and face-to-face he looked at me and whispered the following:
“I love your beautiful nose, and your eyes, and your mouth and your teeth, and your eyebrows, and your polka dots on your nose (pores), and this squishy thing (pointing inside his own nose to his septum), and the middle of your eyes… the black stuff, and what’s the color part called (iris)? Your arm is so soft, is it made of cartilage? Your nose and your ears have cartilage.”
And then he hopped down and left the room.
Ahhh… I love the sweet moments that balance out the salty.
Much like my diet.

Awwwwhhhhh! I love that:)
That is so sweet.
Your boys are getting to be such nice, young men! It’s even been a LONNG time since I’ve seen an entry in The Naughty Files… must be smooth sailing around there these days. And you’re welcome for the jinx. =)
I wonder if he knows about cartilage because of a book I’ve read to them here at our house concerning sharks?
Jessie, you must save this. I think you should consider writing a book, sometime in your spare moments. Grandma Mary kept a little book of words your dad and Uncle Rob uttered as children.
That is so sweet! Love moments like that! Boys love their mommies SO MUCH!
