I have been in such a rush over the last several weeks to get our house ready to be listed. And now it is. Today, I sat on the couch with Jude and Jett while Jace was napping and just watched tv. It was great. The house is in decent shape, or at least it can be on a moment’s notice. Nothing left to do, no major projects to tackle. Well, I guess there is one more thing, but that is going to require a professional. I’ll tell you about that tomorrow.
Maybe now would be a good time to tell you about my continuing quest to lose weight. I’ve lost one pound in the last few weeks. I haven’t been eating the best lately with all this house nonsense. Eating on the go, eating crap. You know, it happens. I’ve been working out a minimum of 4 times a week – and I’m still really enjoying that time away from the house, alone at the gym. Sweet solitude. No need to yell “SILENCE!” like so often happens at home. My new pair of jeans that I bought a month ago are getting too big, which is a super-fantastic feeling even when that financially conservative part of me recoils.
Oh, and another thing that happened today: Jace had his 6-month well-child visit. He’s a puny shrimp! At least for my kids. I mean that in the most loving way possible. He was 16 pounds, 6 ounces, which was in the stinking 31st percentile. C’mon, Jace! We can do better than that! =) Where are those big numbers we put up in the beginning?! Remember? Ten pounds, one ounce? Ringing any bells? I expect more! More, I say! Sorry. He was 26 1/2” which was in the 55th percentile and head size was 17 1/4” which was in the 53rd percentile. He’s healthy as an… I don’t know… ox? Is that how the saying goes? I’m not thinkin’ so. Anyway, he’s healthy. He got 5 immunization shots and a drink of something. I probably should pay attention to those kind of things.
Things are good. And more importantly, God is good. All the time.

It’s such a good feeling when your pants start getting too big! Way to go!
Now, this is not a fun place to take children, but if you are ever out and about by yourself, I have been very successful at finding nice quality jeans at the Goodwill on Grand (kind of close to Valley Junction). Maybe even a little too successful….
I also highly recommend consignment stores. :) If this blog had a “like” button, I’d click it. :)
