I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already! Last weekend we spent some time with Josh’s side of the family at a hotel for swimming and general hanging out. As we were leaving the house, I realized I had forgotten my camera. It’s no wonder, Josh and I were scrambling around getting the house in show condition [...] At the end of January, this merm went out on the town. The town of Ames, that is. What was the monumental occasion that took me so far from home base, you ask? My friends Ali and Sarah turned 30! Yes, they are wayyyy older than me. We ate at The Cafe. Yes, THE Cafe. [...] He spots me. He’s coming after me! It would be scary if he weren’t so happy. Whoooops! A little off-kilter, but undeterred. Gotta learn not to over-correct. Getting closer! Ready or not! Here comes a big, wet one. When Babies Attack! [...] The boys were so excited to receive a package in the mail late last week. The package actually arrived while Jude was in preschool, so I told Jett who was here and eager to tear the package open, that we had to wait until Jude came home to open it. On the way back home [...] Well, I know how I did in my gym’s 6-week fitness challenge, I just don’t know how everybody else did. My final weight loss was 9 pounds since January 4th. I still have 8 pounds to lose to meet my personal goal. I wanted to get that done by mid-February, but here we are in [...] Jude has a thing. A quirk. A habit. He’s a face-toucher. It’s weird. It’s unnatural. It’s unnerving. It’s… it’s… it’s just not right. Alright, it’s 2% sweet, 98% inappropriate. Thankfully, I guess, he only does this to his brothers. Jude touches Jett’s face and Jace’s face SO MANY TIMES throughout the day. We get [...] Do not adjust your computer screens, this is not the window break of January 2009. No, this is another window broken, hence the title of this post. This is the window in Jude & Jett’s room. I didn’t see or hear when it happened, but I noticed the mini-blinds in the up position [...] I have been in such a rush over the last several weeks to get our house ready to be listed. And now it is. Today, I sat on the couch with Jude and Jett while Jace was napping and just watched tv. It was great. The house is in decent shape, or at least it [...] Jace is 6 months old now. He’s so much fun! I often get comments about what a happy baby he is. Whether it be people in church or the guy cutting my blinds at Menards, his happiness gets noticed wherever we go. Jace has been eating a few solid foods: carrots, squash, and peas, [...] These pictures were taken in December of 2004, about four months before we closed on the house. Since it was a foreclosure – and a complex one at that – it took MONTHS to close the deal. It was a nightmare! We had an accepted purchase offer in November and we didn’t close until the [...] |
