I’m down 3 more pounds since last week! It’s been a killer week at the gym and I felt validated by the scale last night. It’s messed up, man. I’m still only weighing myself once a week and the water intake has been fab! I have ten more pounds to go to reach my goal. [...] I just thought I’d take a moment to check in with yous guys. Guess what I’ve been doing lately? Packing up our house. We’re lookin’ to move. Hopefully soon. But, before we move, we need to sell our current house. That would be the preferred order of things, anyway. My mom has our older [...] Two completely different topics within one post. That’s what you get when you don’t cross anything out. Firstly, ice. Everything outdoors was coated in ice overnight. Josh made it into work alright driving slowly. School was cancelled, which means preschool was cancelled, too. We’re enjoying the day stuck inside. For whatever reason, I’m more productive [...] For the last several days, Jace had not been sleeping as well as in the past. He’d fall asleep while nursing, but wouldn’t stay asleep for long. When I put him down in his crib he’d begin to cry and overall was taking fewer naps. He’d want to nurse more frequently like he wasn’t getting [...] Whew! I’m tired from being in the tropics all weekend. Des Moines’s only tropical water park hotel, that is. Josh’s mom & dad invited our family to spend the night with them at the Ramada on Merle Hay Road. We all had a lot of fun. Here’s a picture of the main attraction: Yep, [...] Jett has been plagued with a fear since Christmas. It started when he helped Josh put up the Christmas tree and decorate it with ornaments.
Oddly enough, Jett didn’t notice it right away. One time he entered the room, spotted that thing and turned around running and screaming. It’s a Santa Claus ornament. We [...] Yes, this post is a bit photo-heavy. My friend Ruth came over this morning with her daughter Abbie, who is just a few weeks younger than Jace. You could say they hit it off! We put them on the couch together, but did not pose them. Too cute. [...] In God news: Sunday we had our first regular Sunday worship service in our new church building! Josh and I started attending New Hope church a little more than three years ago. One of the first Sundays we visited, the congregation kicked off its building campaign, seeking donations to build an actual church building. [...] Please forgive the gratuitous frontal nudity. Jace is 5 months old today! Shortly after the 4-month mark, he began rolling over from his back to his tummy. Now he rolls over every which way with ease.
