My little baby is three months old already!
Here are a few things that he’s been doing:
Sleeping. It’s been a few weeks now that he’s been sleeping throughout the night. Hooray! He had one fluke sleep-through very early on, but now that it’s been a solid two weeks at least of sleeping until morning, I feel safe in calling it. He’s also a very good napper in the day. It’s not unusual for him to pull a 1pm – 5 pm napping session. And then there is the morning nap… oh, and the evening nap. He still sleeps a lot is what I’m trying to say.
Smiling. Wow. This kid is a happy kid. I’m not kidding you, I always put him to bed for the night when he’s a little drowsy, but not asleep. Even in his dark room lit only by a nightlight, I can see him grinning at me as I swaddle him tightly. Every night. And when I awake to his little noises in the morning, his face erupts in a smile the moment we lock eyes. Honestly, it makes me want to cry trying to describe it to you. It’s just awesome and I feel so incredibly blessed every time he graces me with one of his big face-smiles. And it’s not just me. If you look and talk directly to him, he will smile at you.
Grabbing and engaging. He’s working on his coordination and has been pawing at the toys suspended in front of him as he sits in his bouncy seat. He also keeps his head turning and eyes looking around at the noises his big brothers make. He’s also been enjoying more exersaucer time. The last couple of days he’s been so close to rolling over. From his back he’ll roll half-way… and then just hang out, but he hasn’t made that final push to go completely over. He’ll officially be the latest bloomer of my children in that regard. I remember Jude rolling over from his back to his tummy exactly on the day he turned 3 months and from his tummy to his back exactly on the day he turned 4 months. Jett rolled over from his back to his tummy at 6 weeks. Pretty early. I remember we watched Jude so much… just anticipating the moment of the first roll-over, and when Jett did it, Josh was outside mowing and I was doing something else inside… I didn’t even think to be watching for it!

I love it when you ask him if he can talk yet and he shakes his head no. Brilliant.
Ha ha! You’re right, Travis! I didn’t notice that before. =) Smart kid.

He’s the sweetest thing.
Jace is just the sweetest baby, it looks like he just “lights” up when you talk to him.

i showed the video to grandpa chuck tonite and he just laughed and laughed. he thought it was so cute! he has the cutest little smile and tried soooooooo hard to talk! love it!
