I used to love Pee-Wee’s Playhouse. Remember Cowboy Curtis as portrayed by Larry Fishburne? Yeah, me too.
Well, this post has nothing to do with him. It’s just the first thing that popped into my mind when I thought about our own little cowboy getting ready for his preschool program last night.
He did a great job! The program was about 15 minutes long, but here are a few short-takes:
The first video is Jude coming onto stage. Jett’s sitting next to me, beside himself with excitement. Jude is waving frantically to Jett from the stage.
The next short video, which occurs about six minutes into the program, features a “chant” (non-political, hee hee) called Cowboy Stew. You’ll see Jett enthusiastically clapping from their previous number, Jude again waves to Jett from stage. It’s a little hard to hear in the video, but after the applause dies down after the chant Jude asks, “Jett, was that great?”. Wow.
We were so proud of our little Jude. After the performance, the children were dismissed to go to their families one by one. Jude was the last one to be dismissed and he waited patiently on the stage until his name was called. What a huge improvement over last year! It just wouldn’t have happened.
Here are the other boys (with a few weird photo treatments).
