The Great PumpkinThe Great Pumpkin

Jude’s preschool class went on a field trip yesterday to a pumpkin patch.

The kids could pick out any pumpkin they wanted.  This is what Jude picked out:

Nice, huh?

I wanted to get Jace in there for scale.  Too bad I didn’t get him at his best.  It’s actually very rare that Jace gets cranky.  He’s usually ear-to-ear smiles.  Anyway, Jude apparently couldn’t resist the cutest little pumpkin in the patch.  The other children came home with normal sized pumpkins, but not my boy.  So little of what he does is “normal”.  And that’s why I love him.

Here he is!  The first picture I took caught him in a blink and he was determined not to have that happen again.  Yes, that’s a bite mark under his eye.  It happened right after he came home from preschool and both boys were coloring in a coloring book Jude also got at the pumpkin patch.  I was a few mere feet away from them and there was no arguing or yelling, so I have no idea what triggered Jett to bite him.  Odd.  Very odd.

  • LOL-they must have went to Howell’s too like my daughter’s preschool. Kierra came home with the very same small pumpkin-I asked her why she didn’t pick out a bigger one & she said, “because they had pokey flowers on them”. ;)

Must be a boy thing. Judah brought home a tiny albino pumpkin last year. It was pathetic.
