I love my baby Jace.  He’s the best little baby.  He’s so content, smiley, and fun.  And I love his ears.  Have I told you this before?  I really do.  Baby ears are kind of a big deal to me.  Here are Jace’s:

See?  They’ve got a little notch at the top, just like his daddy’s ears.  And a fleshy little dimple on the lower lobe.  Too cute.  This picture was taken before we left the hospital, two days after he was born.

As I mentioned, Jace had his 2 month well-child visit a couple of days ago.  He was 13 pounds (90th percentile), 24” long (90th percentile) and head circumference was 15 3/4” (55th percentile).  I looked for the older boys’ stats and could only come up with Jude’s numbers.  We may never know what size Jett was at 2 months because I still cannot find his papers from his 2 month visit.  Jude was 12# 6 oz, 22 3/4” long and 16” head circumference.  I almost feel like I have to post these numbers here for when I misplace their written records.  It’s just a matter of time.

I always get questions about how he sleeps and the answer is: really well!  For weeks now he’s only been getting up once per night.  He nurses for 10-15 minutes and then drifts back to peaceful sleep in no time.  I don’t think it’ll be much longer until he’s sleeping throughout the night.  I think he’ll be a good sleeper because I almost always put him in his crib when he’s awake and he nestles in and goes to sleep on his own.  He is different than my older two boys in that he still enjoys being swaddled.  The other boys would wrestle their way out of their blankets and always preferred sleeping on their tummies.  Since Jace has done so well swaddled and on his back, I haven’t even given him the option of tummy-sleep.  Plus, his head control isn’t fully developed and I’d worry he’d get stuck face down and not be able to breathe well.
