To date: my favorite photo of Jace. He was slightly jaundiced when we left the hospital, but not enough for any kind of treatment or real concern. He was just yellowish. The nurses suggested that we strip him down and put him next to a window with direct sunlight to help his “condition”. So these are pictures of him sunbathing. I think he liked it.
My boy, my boy. It’s so odd how deeply intense my love is for him, yet he’s so new. He’s so familiar. He feels just like my other kids, but he’s his own boy. I’m sure I’ll learn that more and more in the coming weeks and months. He’s such a sweetie.
Ok, ok, another foot photo. I’m the annoying gushing mommy. I just thought it was too cute the way his toes were interlaced. Hmmm… I wonder if they had done that before?
Jace had his 1-week weight check yesterday at the pediatrician’s office. He was 10 pounds, 1 ounce at birth. He weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces when we left the hospital, and today he was up to 9 pounds, 7 ounces. He’s gaining that chub back, and he’s nearly out of those 0-3 month clothes already. Man, oh man! I love it.
We’re doing fairly well here as a 5-piece fam – not without the occasional frustration – but real life doesn’t start until tomorrow when I’ll be here alone with all the boys and Josh back to work.
Lord, help us.

He’s such a doll. So cute. Those cheeks are just begging to be pinched and nibbled. And don’t get me started on those little toes! Okay, I’m done being creepy now :)
so sweet! great pics! call if you get in a bind!
Awww…..that’s just too cute! I’d say I want to nibble those toes too, but then you’d think that Sarah took after me and we’re both wierd! Can’t wait to hold him though – hopefully soon!!
Where’s “The Tyler”? I went to this site expecting to see his entry but was very pleasantly surprised to see more photos of my newest grandson! Love his toes & cheeks! (and chin, lips, eyes, ears, nose etc.)
I’m sure The Tyler will be glad to know he was anticipated. He had the week off. :)
Jace is such a cutie!
