Sprinklers

Well, the weather wasn’t ideal this past holiday weekend, but we made do.

The boys played with sprinklers sparklers for the first time and had lots of fun  even though it was really sprinkling rain when we lit them.

We were lucky to have Auntie Em spend the day with us.  She brought toys for the boys, went to Tropical Sno and ate supper with us, beat us in Seinfeld Scene It, and witnessed the sprinkler sparkler joy with us.

The boys went to bed while Emily was still here. Jett woke up early the next morning, running around the house looking for her assuming she’d stayed overnight.  When he couldn’t find her, he started bawling and saying “I want Auntie Em!”  Poor kid, he was so sad – he went to the door ready to go after her.  Luckily, after about 10 minutes of crying, I was able to calm him down and convince him to go back to our bed.  He slept in next to me until 9:30 am!  It was quite a treat.

The Tyler Forret also came to hang out with us, which was awesome.  The other friends invited to our house couldn’t make it, but we still had fun.  It’s always nice to spend holidays with friends or family and we were thrilled to have both.
