First and foremost, do you see that awesome new graphic on the left? That’s my husband! He’s even as cute as can be graphic-style! Big, huge, gigantic thank you to my sister Emily for creating that image for us to use here. We feel so, well… professional now. ;) I’m working on getting the image integrated into his previous posts, and of course we’ll use it going forward. I’m so excited about it! We’re always looking for ways to make this blog the best that it can be for you. “Working, building, never stopping, never sleeping. Working, making. Some for selling, some for keeping.” One of my favorite movies, does anyone (other than my family members) know it?
I also wanted to draw your attention to the two icons in the upper right portion of the screen, directly below the header. The first button is for subscribing to posts here via a blog reader. If you read more than one blog or like to keep up on news headlines, you may look into signing up for an account with Google Reader, perhaps. There are many services out there on the web that will gather all the new content from the blogs (or news feeds) you follow and put them in one place for you to read. I currently use Google Reader and have roughly 30 blogs that I’ve subscribed to. It’s a time saver in that you don’t have to continually check a website to see if there is new content, if something new is posted, it’ll be there waiting in your queue.
The other envelope icon in the upper right is a button for you to subscribe to this blog by email. If you don’t follow a lot of blogs and don’t see how a blog reader would be of benefit to you (or even if you do) but you’d still like to be alerted to when new content appears here, you may want to subscribe via email. When new content is posted, you’ll receive an email to the address you choose. Again, it’s a time saver if you don’t want to constantly check the site to see if there’s anything new to read. It takes only seconds to sign up. The only thing I would add (I’m new to this email subscription thing, too) is that it doesn’t appear to instantly alert you when there’s new content, so the email could be sent hours after I post. I’m still learning about this feature…
Our hope is that you’ll find one or both of these tools useful. Comment with any questions or feedback.

I know where the line comes from!!! Great challenge question for the day – you should give a gift certificate to the first non-family member who correctly identifies.
I’m pretty sure that line is from Waiting for Guffman. Yeah, it is.
P.S. The new graphic for Josh’s Countdown is sweet!
Dang it I was going to comment that it was from Waiting for Guffman but someone beat me to it! Buuuut…did you know that it was filmed in a small town in Texas? There. I’ve redeemed myself :)
