USA! USA!

We received another package in the mail yesterday, but it wasn’t from shopping online.

It was from my mom addressed to her grandkids.

I wondered what in the world she would send us because we saw her two days prior!

Josh helped the boys open the package and…

TA-DA!

We called her to say thank you and she told me when she saw combo of the outline of the United States plus the American flag, she couldn’t resist.  Two of their favorite things on one shirt perfect for these summer months = winner!

By the way, Sunday was Flag Day (and my grandparents’ anniversary) and in our town the Lion’s Club (I think) has a special fundraiser where they’ll display a flag at your home for $20 a year on every patriotic holiday.  It’s really awesome and we’ve always wanted to participate but never have.  Well, Sunday – just on our normal route home from church about a mile away – we counted 87 American flags proudly displayed!  I meant to get a picture but totally missed my opportunity.  Next time I will… it’ll be the Fourth of July in just a few short weeks!
