Park play date

We had a great time today!  We got to meet our cousins at a park, have lunch, talk and play, play, play!  It was such a beautiful day, too.  After a couple of days of rainy & cool weather, we soaked up the warm sun and got all the sillies out.  All of us moms are the daughters (or daughters-in-law) of Josh’s mom’s sisters (aka aunts).  Got that?

Sarah, we wish you were here.  We love and miss you lots.  And I think I speak for everyone when I say we wish we could squeeze and kiss Isaac to mildly inappropriate proportions.

Surely you remember William.  How could you forget that face?

Well, this little girl is Heidi.  She’s as sweet and feminine as could be.  Just look at those sweet cheeks!  I’m sure glad cute babies run in the family. :)

And this little guy is Daniel.  Under that hat he’s sporting beautiful reddish hair.  I last saw him a little over a month ago, and what struck me today is that he’s coming into his own look (although I still see some of his sister’s features in him).   I just love it when that happens – glimpses of what he might look like in the years to come.

And back to Will.  It would be a crime if I didn’t show you a picture of his hair!  I couldn’t help but run my fingers through it… like, a lot.  Don’t worry, he liked it, too.  It just makes me smile.

This is Abby!  This girl knows how to get down on the playground and isn’t afraid of getting a little bit dirty.  Which is my kind of girl, obviously.  This is Daniel’s big sister.

And shucks, this is the best picture I have of Hannah.  And there is a good reason for that, the bigger kids were BUSY!!  Her aunt Mary Ann is pushing her in this picture.  Hannah is the big sister of Heidi and is setting the bar high, let me tell you.  This girl has the social graces of a 10 year old.  So impressive!

Jett and Jude.  What can I say about these two that you don’t already know?  I was so proud of them today.  Sure, they tested their boundaries and tried to stray a few times (anymore I think I would be more suspicious if they didn’t – I’d probably schedule a doctor’s appointment to make sure they weren’t sick), but they played so well and listened when I reigned them in.   No chasing!  I’m a proud mama.  Zingers tonight to celebrate.
