Tropical Sno (my boyfriend)

Guess who I saw over the weekend?

Thursday night after we dropped Jude off with Abba, Josh and I took Jett to Tropical Sno.  We were nearest the location that Amanda told us about on Douglas south of the Dairy Queen.

I ordered a large size with the cherry and wild cherry flavors [...]

Jett’s recovery

I’m writing this at the end of the 3rd day following Jett’s tonsillectomy.   He’s had his ups and downs, and thankfully – they’ve mostly been ups.

He’s still not taking his Tylenol with codeine based on taste alone, but we’ve been keeping up with the regular children’s Tylenol like clockwork: every 4 hours (except overnight).  [...]

A family picnic

Alright, this outing took place over a week ago, but I just got a chance to go through my photos and I thought I’d share them with you (Sarah).

Here’s my nephew Jackson.  He played hard at the park!

Yeah, I couldn’t resist – these are Jackson’s little feet in little Crocs!  So [...]

Jett’s tonsillectomy

Here’s the before picture.  It’s too early to get an after picture just now, but rest assured – they’re out.  We’ve checked.

Do you see his tonsils pushing up against both sides of his uvula?  I had to double check the medical term for the hangy ball (remember when the Tanners called it [...]

34 weeks

I’m starting to feel the heat, people!  Summer has been easy up until a week ago.  I’ve been spending lots of time in the air conditioned indoors.  The boys and I have been getting out and doing things, but either in the morning or we’re going to air conditioned places, like stores or the [...]

Sweet moments

For all the crazy and wild things I post about the kids, I don’t share as many of the sweet moments as I should.

One day last week two very sweet things happened, one first thing in the morning.

Jett came into bed with me as soon as Josh got up to shower.  He fell [...]

Bat signal

I’m asking for your help.  If you love me, you’ll help me.

I need to know where a Tropical Sno may be located somewhere within a reasonable distance to me.

Seriously.

I won’t even get into the wild goose chase I put my husband and kids through… on Father’s Day… to find a Tropical Sno [...]

Baby shower

I was fortunate enough to have a baby shower thrown in my honor last Saturday.

A tradition at our church is that the first baby born to a couple “in the church” gets a baby shower.  We started attending New Hope when Jett was about 5 months old, therefore no babies of [...]
