Zeigler rendition of the Fifty Nifty United States

Boy, my kids know how to rock.

Their idea of a good time is listening to the Fifty Nifty United States song over and over again (from YouTube).  What is really funny is listening to some of the words they create to phonetically match what they think they’re hearing in the song.  When it comes to rattling off the states, they do ok.

If I get some time later, I’d love to caption what the words should be along the bottom of the screen.  But for now this will have to do.  Update: I did end up captioning and editing the video, inserted below.

This was a one-take deal, so you’ll have to forgive the occasional distraction, wind noise, laughter.  It’s a glimpse into our life.  One kid is nearly nude and the other has his shirt on backwards.  Who cares?

By the way, did any of you sing this song in school?  ‘Cause Josh and I did.  Fun fact: this song was written by Ray Charles.  Yes, the Ray Charles.
