Where were we?
Oh yes, after the bunnies, the boys had some fun blowing bubbles.
Let me start off by saying Jett must be coming down with a cold because the snot and the slobber were flowing like they haven’t flown in awhile. You add bubble solution to the mix and we were all wiping his face left and right.
Watching him blow bubbles? Not for the faint of heart… or stomach for that matter.
Don’t worry, these pictures aren’t too graphic (you can look, Em).
Jett still thinks to be successful in blowing bubbles, one must place his mouth directly on the wand and blow/spit.
This of course, was ineffective.
But of course this strategy allows him to blow bubbles directly from his mouth. Thus eliminating a few pesky steps.
You can’t believe how much I love them when they’re playing nicely: quiet and occupied. Ahhh.
And as if bunnies and bubbles weren’t enough for the day, we took a stroll over to a neighbor’s home to check out their 4-H project: two bottle-fed calves.
This was really the only contact with the calves to speak of. They were much less interested in these big babies than itty bitty bunnies.
Even though the kids weren’t as excited as we thought they ought to be, the trip wasn’t a let down.
After all, this family had a trampoline, too!
Would you believe me if I told you Jett fell asleep for the night before 7 pm? True story. And Jude was in bed by 7:30. What’s a mother to do?
Relax in peace with my true love. Who, by the way, I laid my eyes on 8 years ago today. It’s funny, I always remember the date I first met Josh, but I haven’t a clue the day we were engaged. And honestly, I don’t even know what month it was. I think it was either April or May. If you knew our engagement story (or lack thereof) you’d understand. I may have to share it someday.

****hilarious****** bunny photos!!! I had to have Chris come look at those. We both had a good chuckle. Loved the cards, Emily! You’ve got talent, lady.
Is it wrong to be jealous of your boys for their contact with the bottle calves? And then they didn’t even appreciate it! Do they not realize I’ve been doing chores all by my lonesome for the past 30 days in the Cow Challenge, just to get my hands on one of those babies? :)
Love the pics though. Glad you had a great Mother’s Day.
