We’ve been enjoying our back yard the last few days when it hasn’t been raining, which has been very sporadic, by the way.
I got a few pictures today before my camera battery died. :(
My beautiful boy. Have I told you I let him dress himself? I do. Earlier this week on a preschool day, Jude woke up, went to the bathroom by himself (ok, that’s normal), picked out his clothes (not a terrible combo), took care of his breakfast dishes, put his socks and shoes on (that’s a new thing) and strapped himself into his car seat ALL BY HIMSELF. I was so proud. And I told him how proud I was between lots of hugs and kisses. He couldn’t wait to tell his preschool teacher, too. Very cute.
Autotimer: YES!
And this is day two of the bite mark. It is fading slowly but surely.
And then the storm clouds came a-rollin’ in. I know! The skies in the first shot were soooo blue! I told you it’s been spotty. So, we went inside. Jett asked to do his new favorite puzzle. Oh my, he can’t get enough of this one. He now knows about 95% of all the states by name by their shape, not to mention knowing where all of them are on the map. He could do this puzzle with his eyes closed. Which begs the question: What is wrong with my kids? I just think it’s funny which subjects capture their interest. Lord knows I couldn’t make them want to do this. Could I? Should I be thinking of a hobby for them that is… I don’t know… more lucrative?
You didn’t miss the training pants in the previous photo, right? This week we’ve been hitting the training hard. With mixed results, of course. When Jett was working on this puzzle he started dancing around and I asked him if he had to go. He said no and continued to dance. I was in and out of the kitchen during this time. Again, I saw him dancing and asked him again if he had to potty. He next reached into his training pants and said, “No, it’s just Arizona,” while pulling out the Arizona puzzle piece. Talk about disturbing.
I hope they’ll still talk to me someday if they ever read these blog posts. Poor kids. Yeah, they’ll probably thank me.

Jessie, I love your stories, Arizona in the underwear, thats hilarious. Good your documenting them, you will laugh for years about the things they said.
