We had a mostly lovely day yesterday.  Went to church, hurried home and headed to my nephew Jackson’s 1st birthday party.

The party was at Jackson’s mom’s sister’s house, which would be Jackson’s Aunt Amanda.  She’s so nice and a great hostess.  It’s so great anytime we can see that little fella.  Getting bigger all the time, with more tricks up his sleeve. :)

Josh’s grandparents came for the party from about 2 hours north of Des Moines.  They came back to Josh’s parents’ house after the party and so did we.  Josh’s parents just got back from a week-long trip to Jamaica and we missed them!  We had a good time visiting.

After the grandfolks left, the rest of us went out for Mexican food – such a treat!  And to top it off, the kids went to bed wonderfully and at a good time.  By the way, bedtime has been SO, SO, SO much better ever since we modified our routine & eliminated nap times several weeks (months?) ago.  It’s been a dream.
