Here is room redo #1, formerly my sewing room. Sniffe, sniffle. Very… blue, huh? Well, it was before. Now, it’s way more fitting for a boys room. My mom volunteered to buy the kids new sheets/blankets and they got to choose what they wanted. Jude picked Wall-e and Jett picked Transformers. The [...] I’m feeling great. Thanks to those who’ve asked. I am happy to report I began feeling the baby move last Wednesday. I was sure I knew exactly what that feeling was, but I had to search for it online because I thought it was too early. Experienced moms who know what they’re feeling often detect [...] First of all, sorry if this is offensive to anyone, but can a breast fall asleep? I have never felt this sensation before, but yesterday when Jett fell asleep on one side of me, I swear I had a falling asleep sensation there in my chest. Funny or time to see a doctor? Pregnancy related [...] Congrats Emily! Today she was offered a job she was rumored to have been selected for over 2 weeks ago. She’d been waiting and waiting and waiting, and finally today, she got THE phone call. So, instead of free-lancing at Meredith Publishing, she’ll be a full-blown (I think that’s what they call it) Meredith [...] We had a mostly lovely day yesterday. Went to church, hurried home and headed to my nephew Jackson’s 1st birthday party. The party was at Jackson’s mom’s sister’s house, which would be Jackson’s Aunt Amanda. She’s so nice and a great hostess. It’s so great anytime we can see that little fella. Getting bigger all [...] I took a gamble this morning. Jett was calling for me from his room, or so I thought. It was about 6:45 am. I should back up and say that Josh and I take turns each weekend getting up with the kids. He’ll choose one day to sleep in and I’ll sleep in the other [...] We got her! My sister, brother and I – along with a lot of help from friends and relatives – threw a surprise party for our mother who will turn 50 this Saturday. Yes, she’s a Valentine’s Day baby. In order to surprise her, and so as not to conflict with Valentine’s Day plans, we [...] I had another baby appointment this morning. Everything is going well so far. I was told there would be another ultrasound scheduled at my next appointment, in four weeks. I’m still not sure if we’ll find out the gender… I took Jett to the walk-in clinic last night. He woke up from a short nap [...] It’s fair to say that after our trip to the Black Hills last summer, my boys are obsessed with Mt. Rushmore – or as they affectionately refer to it: “the faces”. Mom & Dad for Christmas gave the boys a children’s book about the history of Mt. Rushmore. The book had been tucked away, forgotten [...] I could write about a lot of things today, but I wanted to make sure to update you about the AEA meeting we attended last week.
