The weekend was a mix. Fun because the kids and I went to Mom & Dad’s but miserable because I had the worst sinus pressure/head cold. It’s breaking up more and more today. Ick.
The real reason I wanted to go stay at Mom & Dad’s was because I wanted to visit Alison and her new baby girls born last week. When I got to Mom & Dad’s Saturday the head cold was just beginning and I thought it would clear up, so I decided to wait until Sunday to visit Ali. Then the pressure really picked up and my cold got worse and worse, and I had to come to grips with "I shouldn’t be around any babies right now".
Ali suggested a Neti/Netti pot for my sinuses. Anybody know what that is? I YouTubed it – lots of demonstrations. If you’re easily grossed out, don’t look it up. Basically, the Neti Pot holds saline solution, you tilt your head forward and to a side, pour the saline solution in one nostril and it comes out the other nostril. Yum! A natural way to clean out your sinuses. I’m interested. Ali swears by it – she says there is instant relief. And her doctor said that doing it 4 times a day when congested is better than any medicine.
Are there any Neti users out there?! I gotta get me one!
i watched a youtube video of it yesterday. creepy. but if you feel the relief it says you will, more power to you! funny that phillippe and i saw that in a magazine and then you talk about it. never heard of it before and then twice in one week. let me know if you try it and how it works.
yes i do have a netti pot and i tend to forget to use it, but it does work if you use it!! kind of scary at first and i think if you get someone to show you how to use it the first time, you will do better with it.. as it can be a little overwhelming. BUT does work!!!
Did you ever see The Office Christmas episode where Dwight gets the teapot that Jim intended for Pam? (It was just on tonight… crazy!) That’s what he told Jim he was going to use it for… made me think of you! :)
