My sister Emily is a creative, artsy type. Many of you know that. Her friend Kelly is a graphic designer, too – they met at a previous job and became fast friends. Last year they participated in Rock Bottom’s Halloween costume competition and won. They were a clothesline (sorry… I don’t have pictures) it was [...] Today is a big day for my little ones. Jude gets to wear his Batman (pajamas) costume to preschool for a fall party. He can hardly stand the wait. We’re augmenting the "costume" with the mask from last year’s Batman costume. You know, making it more legit. Jett will also be wearing his identical costume [...] Thanks for your comment yesterday, Dad. I was reminded of two things: 1) the phase you went through a few years ago where you endlessly quoted Moby Dick. 2) being a kid and remembering Mom exasperated at times at the constant uphill battle of keeping the house clean. I know what she feels like [...] Shout out to Aunt Lo who sent me a link to www.flylady.net after reading my desperate posts last week about regaining control over my house. I was sure I’d seen this FlyLady business somewhere before. Mentioned on a blog I’d read in the past? Not sure. The point is, I’d never visited the site before [...] Last week we did a sticker project. I let each boy choose his color of construction paper and gave each a sheet of Thomas the Train stickers. Especially ones with the footies. *Side note: when the weather is warmer and we’re home for the day, they usually wear nothing but a diaper/underwear. [...] You guys are the best. We kept busy, I got stuff done around the house, and didn’t turn the tv on once. I’m sorry to say, it kind of sums up how I felt yesterday.
