Not that today they are here to stay… that’s just my round-about, goofy way of saying that yesterday was a good day.
The kids behaved all day! Amazing! Yet again, Jude had a better report at preschool and it seems like his behavior is improving each and every time he goes.
Yesterday Jett and I both walked (no stroller) to the church to pick Jude up from preschool. We collected Jude and both boys walked home with me, each holding a hand of mine the entire way. You may think this to be a relatively simple thing. I considered it a miracle. I was in control. Before, they would have wrangled their way out of my grasp, ran far ahead, chased each other around until someone kissed the sidewalk, trespassed onto surrounding property… any number of things. But no, they stayed by my side. We had fun; we even jogged part of the way. That little Jett, he’d run the whole way if I’d let him.
Then the boys ate lunch like angels and took naps like them, too. We played outside after they woke up from their naps and even the neighbor boy and his mommy and baby sister came to visit and play with us.
The boys made a discovery in the yard:
In this picture, each boy is trying to coax the caterpillar to walk on his stick:
And then they realize they both have sticks. What caterpillar?

Thanks for the response to my new pattern I posted yesterday! I really appreciate the support!

Also, on a completely different note, please pray for my friend Leslie and her family. She is in the hospital now while her doctors try to hold off pre-term labor. If you’ll remember from previous posts, she is expecting twin boys. She’ll be 34 weeks this Friday. He has been having a wonderful, healthy pregnancy and has beefed those little boys up to an estimated 5 lbs. each. But, their lungs may still need some developing, so she has been given two steroid injections over the last few days to aid in that area. I talked to her on the phone yesterday and she sounded very calm and in good spirits, despite being on strict bed rest and doped with magnesium sulfate. Please pray for the health and safety of the little guys and their mommy.

What a wonderful day! Hang onto these memories – I’m glad you take so many photos – they’ll help you remember!!
Just remember, the other days are what made today so sweet. If they were perfect all the time, this day would be another day taken for granted. What sweet little boys! Some day, they will cherish this blog…the daily comments on what they were doing. You have terrific writing skills. It reminds me of the book I’m reading right now….”The Wednesday Letters”. A very sweet uplifting book. Things aren’t always as they first seem!
Congrats on your first pattern! I’m predicting many more printings!
