Earlier this week – yet again – Jett began experiencing some nasal discomfort. His eyes would water, he constantly had a finger up one nostril. Finally, I asked him what was up there.
"Apple," he said.
We have a sack of apples on the countertop in the kitchen, but I certainly hadn’t given him one.
So we do the drill… get to a well-lit spot with Jett on his back, and I try to see what I can see. Do some fishing with tweezers. Nothing.
He goes back to playing.
Minutes later his eyes are more watery and he says "nose" to me over and over.
I put a Kleenex to this nose and he begins to blow.
This time I start to see something. It’s bright and green and sparkly.
A couple more blows later and then I can finally grab the obstruction:
It was from a craft project Jude brought home from pre-school. Jett wasn’t lying… it was an apple up there.
Ahhh… the sweet relief that comes from knowing you’re at full capacity again:

Ew! What a goofy kid! :) Why does he DO that??
oh, jessie!!!
[...] Free and clear December 1st, 2009 | by Jessie | Leave a comment Last night I came home from working out (an update on that coming soon, btw) and I hear Jett crying. Literally, I took one step in the house and Josh motions for me to come back to the bathroom. Jett is bawling and rubbing at his eyes and nose. Josh said that he thought Jett had something stuck up his nose. Now, you guys know that this is not the first time something like this has happened. Remember the apple? [...]
