  • Had to take a picture of the boys this morning eating breakfast.  You can’t so much tell in the photo, but both boys had chocolate milk goatees.  That’s something they get from their dad, by the way, having chocolate milk in their cereal.  I love chocolate, but I just can’t do chocolate milk with cereal.

  • My in-laws have been on vacation from work for the last week and a half.  Yesterday they took Jude and Jett to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch.  It was nice to get a 3 hour break from them!  The kids had a great time.  Jett kept calling it Cottage Cheeses… so cute.

  • While we’re on the subject of kids saying funny things, last night when Josh came home from work, Jude gave him a hug and said, “I’m so happy you’re not a dinosaur!”.  Josh agreed, it wouldn’t quite be the same around here, you know – if he was extinct.

  • Josh helped me attempt to baste a quilt last night in the kitchen.  I say attempt because we realized we didn’t have enough floor space.  The quilt I’m working on now is an old grandmother’s flower garden quilt top that was never quilted.  It must be the widest quilt I’ve done.  It measures approximately 91″ x 104″.  I know I’ve done a 90″ x 110″ on this floor, but it’s that extra inch that is really giving me fits.  I’m going to have to take it somewhere else to baste.  Maybe the library where I can push tables together until I can get a big enough flat surface.  It’s times like this I wish I had a long arm!

  • I’m going to a baby shower tonight for Josh’s cousin Rachel.  I can’t wait!  All three of Josh’s aunts on his mom’s side will be in town and two live out-of-state, so I’m excited to see them all.  The whole family is meeting before the shower to eat out.  Should be an all-around fun evening.

  • My mom called yesterday to ask if we would be interested in going to the Black Hills for a long weekend sometime in the near future.  We said yes! – now we’re trying to make it happen with dates.  It’d be a family trip – maybe 10 to 13 of us depending on who can get time off work or school.

  • Later this week Josh and I are going to see The Dark Knight at the IMAX theater.  I’m so excited to see this movie!  Josh saw it once on the opening weekend on a regular movie screen.  He loved it.

  • Last week I added my blog to a directory of quilting related blogs.  Check it out if you’re interested: Quilting Bloggers.
