Here he is: Licking his favorite Barney DVD, sporting new artwork, face covered with peanut butter and jelly. ********************************************** Earlier this week, I walked in on Jett in the bathroom, dipping this in the toilet: It’s mine, and it’s 10 years old, [...] About a week and a half ago my friend Leslie told me that she had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on her 4 year old boy after he choked on a grape. Her story sent a chill through me. Isn’t that something you hope you NEVER have to do? What if someone starts to choke [...] Oh, Jude, it’s 5:30 pm, please don’t take a nap now! My in-laws were a big help, as always, over the weekend. While we were entertaining friends at our house Friday night, the boys went to Chuck E. Cheese with them (for the second time in about a month’s time… if you’re keeping [...] Oh man. I’ve got it bad… our DSL was out from Thursday afternoon to this (Saturday) morning, and I really had a hard time with it. It pained me to wake up Friday morning and NOT be capable of posting a new blog entry. I HEAVILY rely on the Internet. For communication with friends, [...] Check it out! This is Dylan. He lives with and is cared for by my parents. Previously, Dylan went to a neighboring school district but as Dylan’s status living with my parents got more and more permanent (sheesh, it’s been years now he’s been living with them full-time) they decided to transition him to [...] This past Monday afternoon Jude was getting restless because Jett hadn’t waken up from his nap yet and Jude really wanted to play with him. He kept trying to run back to his room making lots of noise. Josh and I were telling Jude to stop trying to wake Jett up – over and over [...] We had beautiful weather here over the weekend; Saturday was especially lovely. Our little family spent time at the playground of our town’s elementary school. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and had the whole place to ourselves for over an hour and a half. The boys had so much fun and were so well behaved [...] You have to watch this video! It’s so funny! A perfect way to wrap up the week. It’s 49 seconds long but if you’re like Josh and me, you’ll watch it over and over again. Josh found it last night while mindlessly wandering on the Interweb. Egg jumper video Our friend Pete is visiting from China so we had him over for hamburgers last night before he returns to China for another 9 months or so. Our little boys were very happy to see him although I doubt they remembered him because when Pete first left for China Jude and Jett weren’t even 2 [...] Not much to say today. We went grocery shopping this morning, and we’re still all smiles – that’s saying something! And no biting since Sunday. I hope I’m not jinxing myself.
