Saturday was the 50th wedding anniversary of my grandparents. Sunday morning we left for Marshalltown with the kids and met the family at a restaurant for dinner. It was very good. Then onto their open house. We had a great time. The kids got a little worn out and out of control, so we had to duck out early. It was so nice to see lots of familiar faces of friends and loved ones.

Both sets of grandparents… I’m so lucky that all my grandparents are alive. I know that’s not the case for many my age. My dad’s folks are on the left, mom’s are on the right.
