Reasons to smile

I received the best news last night! Ali & Troy are expecting!  And not just one baby… two!

CRAZY!

Ali and I have been friends for a long, long time.  We’ve always been able to make each other laugh, and laugh and laugh.  In the early days I remember we’d laugh so much on the school bus that no one else could possibly understand what was going on.  We had some really, really funny memories in her first car, the Renault.  We went to some really tough funerals together.  We lived together.  She was in my wedding.  We’ve celebrated birthdays together.  She was the first friend I called when I found out I was pregnant for the first time.  I remember when she called to tell me she was getting married.  I remember her phone calls as her mom was diagnosed with cancer, and the happy updates as her mom went into remission.  Too many other memories to mention.  And now… this news is the most exciting of all.

I can’t wait to watch her experience motherhood.  To twins, no less!  How incredible is that?!  I’m just so excited for these babies.  What sex will they be?  What will her and Troy name them?  Who will they look like?  Will it be an easy pregnancy?  When will she deliver? 

And here I am, sharing her news like it’s my news.
