Holly's birthday bash

Earlier this month we had the privilege to attend the 30th birthday celebration of my friend Holly.  Holly and I used to work together at Citigroup and we’ve kept in touch with each other since.  I remember Holly talking about her 30th birthday party back when I was working and that was over 3 years ago!  Who plans their 30th party when they’re 27 or younger?  Holly, that’s who!

We arrived at the party and were greeted by Holly herself.  In front of a photo backdrop, no less.  I just had to chuckle.  You have to know the girl.  Well, here’s a picture of the Citi gang.  We were all members of a site recognition committee at work and have remained a close group since.  From left to right in the photo: Marsha, me, Holly, Cheri & Erik.

The party was a family friendly event.  It was complete with a bounce house for the kids, cotton candy, even an Elvis impersonator!  We enjoyed nachos to eat, and the wonderful cake made my Marsha.  Jett is digging into his cake in the next photo.

We had such a good time at the party, Holly.  Glad we could celebrate with you!

Thanks Jess for honoring me with a posting on the blog. :) It was a wonderful night and I’m so thankful you were there to share it with me. I really miss our daily talks and although our talks are less frequent than they were in the good ol’ days when you were right across the hall you are one of those friends that we can go weeks and sadly even months sometimes between chats but when we do catch up it’s like no time passed at all. Thanks for being that kind of friend.

P.S. Sorry for the delay, I just figured out I could leave a comment. DUH!
