My grandparents have a 50th wedding anniversary coming up next month. As my sister Emily was creating the invitations for their open house, she noticed this similar pose and did a side-by-side. Striking resemblance, isn’t it?
On the left is Grandpa Chuck on his wedding day, at 20 years old. On the right is one of Jacob’s senior pictures, at 18 years old. Too funny…

This one isn’t even close when compared to Grandpa Chuck’s senior class portrait. It’s a dead-ringer. Mom & Dad could have probably saved some money on senior pictures if we just made some photocopies of his. You could imagine my consternation (people don’t use this word much anymore, and I’ve been dying to drop it) as a junior high student when I flipped through the Senior Class photos in the high school concession area to find that I had actually graduated in 1957 under the assumed name of Charles Grove. It’s a crazy world… someone oughtta sell tickets. Sure, I’d buy one.
