Glad to see the kids?Glad to see the kids?

Why, my dear boys?  Why do you do things like this?  And less than an hour after your return from Grandma & Grandpa’s house?  Were you trying to repay the 3 days of naughtiness that we missed while you weren’t here?

Honestly, we left them alone for minutes while putting some things away and this is what they do.  Well, really, there was no “they” about it.  Let me be more accurate: this was all Jett.  First of all, Jude’s scared of the vacuum – running or not.  Secondly, Jett was covered head to toe in dust while Jude only had a residual dusting.  Seems like this incident only confirmed Jude’s fear of the vacuum.   He knew he could never trust it, now he knows why.

Josh rushed to get Jett in the bathtub because he was rubbing that filth all over his head, concentrating on the eye area.  And if you’ll recall with me, not too long ago this vacuum cleaned up Jett’s Comet escapade, so there were lots of Comet granules that made its way onto Jett and  into the carpet for the second time.

The contents of the vacuum bag was so nasty.  Was that crap ever on my floor?  Collectively, it really is frightening.   So, I swept up the big globs with the broom and dustpan, attached a new vacuum bag and went over the same 10′ X 10′ area for 15 minutes.  Ick!  The recliner, end tables, entertainment center, even the floor into the kitchen was covered in dust.  I have to say, this was one of the more difficult messes that I’ve had to clean up in some time.
