Jackson Nolan

The reason Valentine’s Day was extra special yesterday? I became an aunt for the first time!

My brother-in-law and his fiancĂ© had a baby boy in the wee hours (2:53 am) yesterday morning. They named the sweet little Valentine’s baby Jackson Nolan. He was 7 lbs., 9 oz. and was 20 1/2″ long. He has a good head full of hair, which I’m predicting in the summer will be white. His little eyebrows and eyelashes look very blonde and the hair he has on his head now, while much darker, has that light tint to it. Once it’s gone, I think blonde hair will replace it.

Tiffany, Jackson’s mom, did a great job in the delivery. She went into labor on her own the afternoon of the 13th and by the time they got to the hospital, she was 100% effaced and dilated to 3 cms. She was admitted and shortly after they broke her water and gave her an epidural; her labor progressed naturally from there. Just shy of 2 hours of pushing, and Jackson made his grand entrance – a happy and healthy boy!

And we love the name Jackson! He joins Justin, Josh, Jessie, Jude, and Jett. Poor Grandma Jan! That’s a lot of J’s to keep straight.
I wanted so badly to share pictures. I left the house at 10:30 am yesterday morning not realizing I wouldn’t be back at the house before we visited at the hospital. I will post pictures just as soon as I can get my hands on them!

Jackson, we’re so happy to have you in our lives. We look forward to watching you grow – to see you crawl, walk, ride bikes, play. You’ll be such a good playmate and friend to our boys. You are a gift from God and we will cherish you, we already do. Love, Uncle Josh and Aunt Jessie
