This is my sister’s car. She got into an accident on the icy roads last Sunday morning as she was following my brother to Ames. The ice made her lose control, spin around and hit the truck traveling behind her grill-to-grill. The other truck spun into the ditch and landed on its side – the two men in the truck crawled out and were ok. Emily didn’t have any injuries either. Thank you, Lord, for keeping everyone safe.
The roads were so bad around the state over the weekend, especially considering there wasn’t much – if any – new snowfall. The strong winds blew snow over the roads where it re-froze and created the hazerdous conditions.
My stomach drops when I drive by an accident. I wonder how many lives may have just been changed forever in an instant. What a frightening thought.
