I wanted to share my recently inherited pillowcases with you. Ok, the photos only show one, but the other pillowcase is identical. I don’t know what I’ll do with these besides quilt the living snot out of them! :) I can just see all the empty space being filled with an intricate quilted [...] Progress on Lovebirds (Circle gets the Square): I finished piecing the entire top last night. I had to stay up until 12:30 am to do it, but sometimes you just can’t quit when you’re on a roll! I used a variety of fabrics that contained red, black and white. I’ve been seeing birds pop up in art & decor recently: at [...] I was hired to design and make an anniversary quilt for a couple marking their 50th wedding anniversary, which was in April, but they are celebrating it with a reception next month. Can you tell I love stars? It was strategic, there are 50 stars on this quilt, one for every year of wedded [...] I thought I’d share a current project with you. I’m not sure about it. I like it, but I don’t know if I love it. I’m leaving what I have on the design wall now so I can look at it with fresh eyes later. I’m using a fall palette… out of step with the [...] I thought I’d post a picture of a quilt that was pieced by my friend Rozetta Fiscus – I did only the quilting on it. She did such a good job with it. At our Quilt Circle of Friends meeting, held at Adel Quilting and Dry Goods, Co., all who wanted to participate in a [...] Welp, the weekend was good… no, great. Mom took the kids on Friday afternoon. Need I say more? Friday we had a friend over for dinner; he and Josh stayed home and hung out while my friend Barb and I went out for coffee and talked. So instead of writing about it, I got busy! This is what happened when I tried to photograph the quilt while the kids were still awake. Yeah, it [...] Here’s a picture of the quilting I have done so far on this yet unnamed quilt. I decided to quilt some freehand curlicues in the background of the appliqué blocks, it seemed fitting to the whimsical style of the quilt.
