Any quilters out there? Hello? Today I wanted to share a quilt I recently completed (actual pictures of the finished quilt are coming soon) that was fun, easy to make, and allowed me to use up a lot of different fabrics left over from other projects. It seems as though in a down economy [...] I’ve been playing catch-up in making quilts for family members and friends who’ve had babies recently (or not so recently now). Ideally, I’d like to give a quilt immediately upon a birth or even before. BUT, as I’m juggling this full and happy, if not a little chaotic household, quilts are getting turned out 6+ [...] Just in case you were starting to admire my sewing abilities, I felt it was time for full disclosure… to let you see what I can really do. The task? To attach Jude’s first Awana badge to his vest. Sounds simple, right? Because of the little bumps and irregular surface on the [...] After helping make an apron over the weekend, I had the idea to make another apron for a little girl who celebrated her birthday today. This girl, well she’s not just any girl, she’s Jett’s girl. Some how, some way, months ago Jude and Jett got the idea that they both had girls. Jett says [...] I cannot take sole responsibility for this next project. In fact, I can only take credit for the art direction and idea… the rest was my sister and my mom. I wanted to make something special for my friend Kelly’s birthday so I utilized the fact that I was going to spend this last Saturday [...] I realize it hasn’t been THAT long ago since you heard from me with the first installment of Peanut Butter + Chocolate=Delicious.
