After helping make an apron over the weekend, I had the idea to make another apron for a little girl who celebrated her birthday today. This girl, well she’s not just any girl, she’s Jett’s girl. Some how, some way, months ago Jude and Jett got the idea that they both had girls. Jett says his girl is Gabriela and Jude says his girl is Alexis (both are preschool classmates). Anyway, Gabriela loves doing crafts so I thought she might like an apron to wear to protect her clothes while crafting or helping her mommy in the kitchen.
It only took me a couple of hours (even with frequent interruptions… obviously) to put it together, and that included drawing up the pattern on a newspaper after getting some measurements from my boys.
Here it is:
I don’t mean to sound boastful, but: how cute is that?!
It almost makes me want to have a little girl of my own. Almost. Not enough to stop my husband from having a certain *ahem* procedure Friday.
A little pocket with her initial is the perfect finishing touch!
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I couldn’t have done it without Jude and Jett’s help!
They were perfect little models. Here’s Jett:

That is about the cutest thing I’ve seen! Don’t be surprised when the orders start rolling in!
Very cute!
i agree, so adorable!!
Love it!
jessie-that is the cutest apron! not many little girls get their own custom-made one. and jace’s video-his smile is so darn infectious and the heavy breathing-trying to talk is so sweet.
SOO cute! That Gabriela is one lucky gal!
[...] I posted the first kids’ craft apron I made, I received a few orders for aprons to give as Christmas [...]
Jessie, I have no idea how I missed this post! But I did!
Update on the apron front: She LOVES it! She has worn it in quite well! It has battle scars from every craft she has done since her bday. It really was the PERFECT gift! I think I’m going to frame it when she’s all out grown it. It would be such a cute art piece for her wall. You rock! And I’m so glad that’s it’s spun so much interest! They are some lucky girls, I know that for sure!
