Sorry about the untimely posting to the blog the last few days, people. I’m trying to adjust to life that includes cleaning every day and blogging has been pushed aside temporarily. Progress on my house is still going well, I have a few positive anecdotes to share about my "new" house, but I’ll do that later.
Now on to progress of a different sort! I have all the blocks done for this table runner I’m working on for a customer.
These are log cabin blocks that use the same cream print for the light half of each block; the dark half of each block uses various deep blues and denims. This quilt has been so fun to work on because of the colors and layout my customer chose. I’m especially excited to quilt this one because the light areas will show quilting stitches well. Right now I’m thinking about doing feathered wreaths in the centers of each light "diamond". And then lots of stippling. Since this is for a table, I’m using a thin batting and will also quilt densely so it lies nice and flat.
More pictures on this project later…
