I’m all retreated out! I had a great time at my first-ever (but not last) quilting retreat last weekend. Lots of sewing and even more eating.
I started the quilt I designed (posted last week) on Friday morning. By the time the retreat ended Saturday afternoon, I had all the blocks completed and the sashing strips cut and sewn onto most of the blocks. Now I need to cut my setting triangles, sew it all together and add the borders. It’s on the back burner now until I can get my last several customer quilts done.
There were 40 quilters who attended… we had lots of out-of-staters from places like Colorado, Kansas, Tennessee, Missouri, and others that I’m forgetting now.
Here are some pictures I took at the show & tell portion of the retreat. Many beautiful quilts!

i liked the fifth one down from the top picture. The last one made me think i was having a drug experience
Jessie, I am jealous. I have only done mini 1 day sewing events and looked into doing this one but, right now there are too many uncertainties in our lives to commit to something so far in advance. Glad to hear you had a good time and got lots of sewing done. I am afraid I would be so busy looking at what everyone else is doing I would get nothing done. So you would recommend it and do it again, huh?
looks like you were in your element!
