I worked like a crazy person Friday and Saturday and I finished this quilt just in time give to our friends who got married over the weekend. Literally, I finished the binding (by machine), soaked the quilt in cold water to remove the marking lines, ran it through the washer’s spin cycle to remove the excess water, dried it in the clothes dryer on delicate (didn’t have time to air dry), snapped a few pictures of it, handed it off to Josh to wrap up while I got ready for the wedding, all within an hour and a half. There is nothing like a deadline to motivate this girl!
The pictures aren’t great – I was rushed. The quilt finished at approximately 58″ x 74″… too small for a bed but a good size for watching tv under, or as I suggested in the accompanying card – making babies under. :)
close-ups of quilting:
cross-hatching in the center square
quilted a spiral within each circle & quilted the white space surrounding the circles using a serpentine meander
I drew these feathered paisley shapes free-hand onto the fabric with a white marking pen before quilting them.

Yes, I think this may be my most favorite quilt you’ve made thus far. It turned out awesome. I like the feather detail too. That was a pleasant surprise. It turned out even better than I expected!
