I’m more excited about my modern quilt design now that my sister likes it. So, here it is:
Doesn’t look like me, huh? Simplistic, retro, high style, funky. I’m digging the bird silhouettes – they will be appliquéd onto a white background. I’ve been seeing birds pop up in art & decor recently: at the Des Moines Art Festival, on HGTV over the weekend. Must be in… not that I’m paying attention. :)
The quilt fabrics won’t be entirely solids like are shown in the quilt draft (created using my new EQ6 software), but some will be. The cross-hatching in the center square will be quilting lines in red thread.
I already have a title: Lovebirds (Circle gets a Square).
