Welp, the weekend was good… no, great. Mom took the kids on Friday afternoon. Need I say more?
Friday we had a friend over for dinner; he and Josh stayed home and hung out while my friend Barb and I went out for coffee and talked. It was fun a lot of fun.
Saturday we stayed at home all day. I finished repairing an old quilt for a customer. Josh and I were going to go out to eat, but we decided we were much more comfortable at home and instead watched There Will be Blood. We both loved the movie; we were P.T. Anderson fans before and even more so now.
Yesterday we went to church, which is much easier to do without chasing the kids around. In the afternoon, I helped my friend and neighbor baste a quilt she’s making for her daughter’s college graduation gift. Then Josh and I had an early dinner at Outback. Yum! We got a gift card for Christmas that we were anxious to use. Boy, was it good! And no waiting for a table at 5 pm on a Sunday afternoon. Who would have thought?
And then… I got started on my next quilt project. I’m happy to say this is a personal project for a friends’ baby that I hope to knock out in no time so I can get back to customer quilts. I didn’t even have fabric cut when I started, and 3 1/2 hours later…
I ran out of fusible web for the appliqué, so I took a break on it until later today when I hope to run out an buy more.
