Here is one of my current projects. It’s a small quilt that will finish approximately 24″ square – great for putting on a table or hanging on a wall. I’m also writing a pattern for it; I will teach a class on how to construct the quilt later this year at Adel Quilting and Dry Goods in Adel, Iowa.
The pattern is written for beginning quilt makers, although obviously a quiltmaker with more experience could easily piece it together.
This would be a good pattern for someone who hasn’t yet tackled quarter-square triangle units before. A QST unit is a very common component of many traditional quilt blocks. My pattern will show a variety of different ways to construct these common QST units.

I haven’t sewn the blocks together yet, and I’m really not sure which arrangement I like best. What do you think?
