Now this is exciting! I love shopping for fabric. In fact, it’s really the only kind of shopping I enjoy. My preference would be to shop at my favorite local quilt shops (which I’ll highlight in later blogs). That’s not always doable for this mother of two very ACTIVE little boys who just don’t have the same appreciation for fabric that I do. Actually, I remember groaning every time my mom wanted to drag me to So-Fro fabrics back in the day.
The next best option: online fabric shopping! The fabrics pictured above are for a quilt for a very, very special customer of mine. I won’t give too much away, just in case the recipient of this future quilt happens onto this blog. Anyway, this special customer of mine lives out of the area so she was able to show me which fabrics she wanted for this quilt via the Internet. Cool, huh? This particular spread came from www.equilter.com and arrived at my doorstep yesterday… in the -22 degree temps, mind you. Very nice.
Can’t wait to get these fabrics washed up, pressed and ready for cutting. This will be a fun qulit to put together. Stay tuned.
